La Chambre association and Les Journées de l’architecture launch Archifoto – the 1st awards of architectural photography.

• 2010 theme: “Architecture is sustainable!”
• Application deadline: July, 31st 2010 at 5.00 pm
• The winner will be awarded a €2000 prize.

Judges will pay particular attention to:

• relevance to the contest theme of sustainable/durable architecture
• consistency of the project and pertinence of the photographic style (framing, composition, detail…)
• presentation text

Judges will especially pay attention to the relevancy of the use of retouching software (like Photoshop). The use of software should be explained and related to a coherent photographic process.

he contest is open to everyone with no age or nationality limits. Under 18s can enter the contest only if a written parental agreement is provided. Is not eligible to enter the contest: any person legally associated with the development or administration of this contest (organizers, sponsors) and the immediate family (parents, children, siblings, spouse and persons residing in the same household). Entries failing to meet these rules will be treated as ineligible.

Participation fees including handling fees are 20 €.
